Black Eyed Susan Recipe by Tobin Shea | The Triple Crown Cocktail Collection

Follow Redbird Bar Director Tobin Shea’s instructions below for how to make a Black Eyed Susan from the Triple Crown Cocktail Collection. Named after the state flower of Maryland, the Black Eyed Susan is the official cocktail for the second race of the Triple Crown, the Preakness.

Black Eyed Susan
1½ oz Bourbon
½ oz Dry Curacao
¾ oz Pineapple Gomme Syrup
¾ oz Lemon
Top with Angostura Bitters

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and add ice. Shake until chilled, serve in a Collins glass, top with Angostura Bitters. If a less sweet cocktail is preferred, invite guests to stir in the bitters.
