Manchurian Candidate Recipe by Tobin Shea | The Silk Road Cocktail Collection
Follow Redbird Bar Director Tobin Shea’s simple instructions below for the Manchurian Candidate cocktail. This refreshing cocktail pays homage to the country where some of its ingredients originated. China is the birthplace of oranges and green tea.
Manchurian Candidate
1½ oz St. George California Citrus Vodka
½ oz Lustau Fino Sherry
¾ oz Lemon
¾ oz King’s Ginger
½ oz Simple Syrup
4 Dashes Angostura Bitters
2 oz Green Tea Soda*
Orange Twist
Combine all ingredients into a shaker, add ice. Shake until chilled, top with Green Tea Soda. Pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
*Green Tea Soda
4 oz cold brewed Green tea
8 oz Sugar
Soda Water
Combine the first two ingredients, mix until combined. For every ounce of green tea syrup, add 4 oz of Soda Water.
