Follow Redbird Bar Director Tobin Shea’s simple instructions below for the Yes, Siam cocktail. Taking inspiration from Pad Thai, the Thai street food staple, this refreshing cocktail transports you to the streets of Bangkok.
1 ½ oz Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
½ oz Amaro Angeleno
½ oz Tempist Fugit Crème de Cacao
¾ oz Pressed Lime
¾ oz Tamarind Syrup*
Combine all ingredients into a shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
2 cups Water
2 cups Sugar
¼ lb Tamarind Pods
Combine all ingredients and bring to a hard boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 20 minutes. Fine strain, make sure to press the pods to extract all the flavor.
