Loria Stern’s “Eat your Flowers” Cookbook Launch Garden Party

Los Angeles creatives in food, design, art and fashion gathered in The Garden for an early evening party celebrating the launch of Loria Stern’s first cookbook, Eat Your Flowers. Guests enjoyed an edible bouquet experience by Fiskars, Body vodka cocktails and wood-fired pizzas (with edible flowers!) and other light bites.

Eat Your Flowers originally emerged out of the tiny kitchen of Stern’s 1890’s built home in Montecito, California. After studying medicinal and edible plants during her culinary training, she began experimenting with the edible bounty that grew freely in her own backyard in 2016. Shortly after, Eat Your Flower was born as a bakery and catering brand that values local community, sustainability and inclusivity. The now Los Angeles based chef, baker, botanist, gardener, and artist quickly gained fame following as the originator of the botanical pressed cookie. Her vibrant botanical creations have been celebrated in Vogue, The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar and Oprah, plus many others. Stern harvests flowers from her own abundant garden, works alongside local farmers to source seasonal and organic produce, and implements creative waste reduction and water conservation practices whenever possible.

Stern’s first book balances the nutritional and medicinal value with the inherent aesthetic beauty of botanical ingredients. Order and learn more HERE.
