Blog Post: 10 Days RE:Her Festival 2023

10 Days RE:Her Festival 2023

10 Days of RE:Her Festival is back in Los Angeles through March 12, 2023.

This year we’re bringing it back to the early aughts with RE:Her member and Redbird & Vibiana Owner & Operator Amy Knoll Fraser’s favorite dish from her first restaurant, Grace, with her partner in every way – Chef Neal Fraser. Braised Pork Belly with forbidden rice, calabrian chili and tangerine will be offered on the dinner menu.

Amy and Neal opened Grace in 2003. Grace was named for Amy’s step daughter, Grace, who is also in the hospitality industry getting her start in LA as a server at Redbird, then Event Manager, Assistant General Manager and General Manager. Grace currently runs El Granjero Cantina in the Original Farmers Market.

100% of sales will be donated to RE:Her to support its mission to advance women-identifying and nonbinary food and beverage entrepreneurs and leaders by way of innovative platforms that uplift business, support community and advocate for the industry. Started in Los Angeles and growing nationally, the non-profit aims to use their groundswell movement to advance women and non-binary people, the hospitality industry, and society at large. They work to facilitate more equity, inclusion, well-being, and resource accessibility by leveraging our common need for food, connection and uplifting experiences.

Sparkling
Filipa Pato, 3B , Brut Rose, Metodo Tradicional, Portugal NV
Coming from one of the most important family of winemakers in Bairrada has only spurred Filipa Pato to push the envelope of what a great wine region Bairrada can be.

Champagne
Elise Dechannes, Cuvée Chardonnay, Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Riceys 2012
Elise is a pioneer for Biodynamic winemaking in the Riceys region of Champagne. Her wines embody the true spirit of this magical area in France and are sophisticated, sought-after and profoundly sincere.

Aligoté
Domaine Chanterêves, Bas des Ees, Bourgogne 2020
Tomoko Kuriyama grew up in Japan. Her wine career began in Germany, apprenticing while earning an engineering degree in oenology & viticulture. She began Chanterêves in 2011 when she moved to Burgundy.

Chardonnay
Hope Well, Estate, Eola-Amity Hills 2017
Imbibe 75’s 2020 Wine Person of the Year, Mimi Casteel is the example of what sustainability truly means in the vineyard. Using methods of regenerative agriculture, she aims to demonstrate that farming can be done in a way that not only improves the land, but even reverses the effects of climate change.

Châteaneuf-du-Pape Blanc
Château de la Font du Loup 2020
Anne Charlotte Melia-Bachas owns 20 hectares of vines in the very northern region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Higher in elevation, with more sand that stone, her wines are a welcome expression of elegance in a world of rusticity and excess.

Gamay Noir
Domaine Mee Godard, Gamay Noir, Corcelette, Morgon 2020
Born in South Korea, Mee Godard was adopted by a family in Dijon. She fell in love with wine at an early age, before studying abroad at Oregon State where she got a degree in winemaking. She launched her winery in Beaujolais in 2013. Mee Godard is a one-woman show that prunes, farms, and runs a precise cellar. She is poised to be a big part of our perception of Morgon as the identity of Beaujolais continues to evolve with a new generation.

Grenache
A Tribute To Grace, Grenache, Besson Vineyard, Santa Cruz Mountains 2017
Hailing from New Zealand, Angela Osborne found herself working harvest in California where she fell in love with Grenache. She stayed in California, and started her winery, a tribute to the grace and elegance of her Grandmother.

Châteaneuf-du-Pape
Domaine Saint Préfert, Colombis, Châteaneuf-du-Pape 2019
Isabel Ferrando was born in Provence, but not to a winemaking family. She left her successful career in banking in 1997, to follow her lifelong dream of being a winemaker. After 2 years of school and many apprenticeships, she started Saint-Préfert in 2002.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Au Sommet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Atlas Peak 2019
Heidi Barrett is simply Napa Valley royalty. She has made wine for Dalla Valle, Paradigm, Grace Family, Revana, and of course Screaming Eagle. Her infamous 1992 vintage turned her into a bonafide rockstar.
