- Attendance in culinary school immediately ignited a passion and desire in Ligia to become a chef.
- After waiting over 13 years for resident visas to immigrate to America, her family finally received the green light, packed up a few suitcases and moved to Los Angeles just a week later.
- Ligia deepened her culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena.
- She has worked on many highly regarded pastry programs in LA including Playa Provisions with Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts, Friends & Family with Roxana Jullapat, Craft with Tom Colicchio and Shannon Swindle and A.O.C. with Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne.
- In her leisure time, Ligia likes to paint, eat out and watch movies with her husband.
- She has a dog named Mojito!
