Follow Redbird Bar Director Tobin Shea’s cocktail recipe below to make the Bird of Paradise from The Plain Truth About the Best Seeds Cocktail Collection. The Bird of Paradise is a classic tiki cocktail with bright, fruity notes, with cream and citrus but not overly sweet.
Bird of Paradise
1.5 oz Beefeater Gin
1/2 oz St George Raspberry Liqueur
3/4 oz Fresh Pressed Lime Juice
3/4 oz Raspberry Syrup
1/2 oz Cream
1/2 oz Egg White
3 Drops Orange Blossom Water
In a Boston Shaker, combine all ingredients. Add a pinch of crushed ice and shake until the sound of the ice disappears. Pour directly into a Collins glass and fill with crushed ice. Add a straw, and garnish with an orchid and a lime twist.
